The Alley Way Stamps - Sneak Peek #2

Hey there!!

Its day 2 of The Alley Way Stamps Sneak Peeks!! The set being featured today is called BEE Sweet! And i have a sweet card for you!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
Its a little Easter card, perfect for a little girl! And i actually made a little scene! I'm usually bad at making scene cards, not sure why but they never seam to work for me, but this one fell into place nicely.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I started by stamping and masking the bee, one bunny ear and antennae. I also stamped another ear and the tiny flowers off to the side. I colored the bee with distress markers, then cut the bee out. I also cut out the bunny ear and the flowers. I added both to the bee with foam dots.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

This is when i remembered these extra felt clouds that i had, i found them added them to my card base. I also used a wave like die to cut some green pattern paper. I adhered these waves to my card base to make green hills. I also die cut some tiny flowers and added them to the bottom right.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Last i stamped the sentiment from the BEE Sweet set! And wa-la a cute little bee bunny scene!! :)

Make sure you stop by The Alley Way Stamp's blog for more sneak peeks from the design team and a chance to win the new BEE Sweet stamp set!!

Have a great day!!

Pink Hello

Hi there!!

Today's card features a new find cool find and using up some scraps (ok, really really really new scraps and since i can't stop using this die there are more scraps to be had!!) My find is wood tape! I found it at Joann's it was kind of expensive, but it was on sale and well its awesome. Its real wood, very very thin wood with an adhesive back. Its really similar to washi tape!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
I used some pink card stock and added the wood tape vertically across my card base. Then i added the tiny die cut flowers in a long grouping with foam dots. The flowers were left over from Monday's card.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i die cut the hello sentiment 3 times from some scrap paper. I ran all 3 hello's through my sticker maker. I adhered them on top of each other, then on to my card base. Last i added a few glitter dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!! Oh and i just realized, this card has no stamping!! GASP!!! lol!

Super Star

Hey there!!

How is everyone?! Good i hope! Today i'm sharing a card that i just love!!! I had no plan when i started but i came out great!!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I started with a stamp from The Alley Way Stamps: Got It Covered set!!! I stamped the star background with blue pigment ink, 3 times in a row, making sure each one was touching. Then i trimmed all three really close (the stamp has rounded edges), then added a little ink where needed.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i i die cut Hello from my blue star background. I set aside the cut hello to just work with the negative. I backed the negative with orange poke-a-dot pattern paper. I was going to trim off the orange paper, but liked how it looked peaking out on two of the sides.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Then i stamped the super star stamp and cut it out. I added a multicolored star pattern paper to my card base, along with a pattern journal card that i attached to the star panel with staples. I added the hello negative and the cut out super star with foam dots and last added 3 tiny gold hearts.

Hope you have a great day!!!

Oh Shoot

Hey there!!

So the other day i was itching to do a card and i had my ipad with me at the craft table and i happened to check my blog roll and saw the new challenge at Avery Elle: Ombre/Gradient! I have also been meaning to play with their stamps, so i figured it was perfect timing!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I first stamped the flowers and then stamping them a second and a third time. I used two different pinks and the lighter pink i could only stamped them a second time as the third was so light you couldn;t really see it. Next i cut all the flowers out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I used a white card base (the card base has a few white paint spots) and stamped the Oh Shoot sentiment and arrow in grey ink. I colored in the arrow with a light grey copic marker. Then i arranged the flowers on the card base, pretty much grouping them then going from dark to light.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

When i found the right grouping, i marked each flower with a pencil and then stamped the leaves. Placed the flowers back on my card base with foam dots. Last i added a few matching sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Don't forget The Alley Way Stamps April release is just right around the corner, sneaks start this weekend!

Papertrey Ink March 2014 Blog Hop

Hi!

This is my second post today, click here or scroll down for my TAWS post.

I'm sharing a card i made for PTI's March 2014 Blog Hop. The challenge is high gloss and to get my high gloss i used transparent embossing paste and a stencil. I am also entering this into Moxie Fab World Styling with Stencils Challenge.

I started with a white card base and placed a stripe stencil over it. I adhered it temporally down with washi tape. Then i used various PTI inks and a dauber to ink in the stripes. I use ROYGBV with Kraft ink in the middle.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Once the ink was done, i used transparent embossing paste over the stripes. It goes on milky white, but it dries clear and glossy! After it was dry i wrapped some chunky twine around my card base close to the top. I tied the ends into a bow.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i die cut and stamped the triangles, arranging them on my card in ROYGBV. I added them to my card with foam dots along with more twine to make it look like they are hanging from the twine.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I decided to not add a sentiment, since i couldn;t really stamp on the glossy stripes and i didn;t want to hide the stripes with some other element. So i went with out, i will probably add a sentiment on the inside when i need to send the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Heart to Heart #5
Stencil: Heidi Swapp
Paste: Dreamweaver - Transluctant

Fun Easter Eggs

Hey there!!

Today i have some fun springy cuteness for you!!! Flipping through my dies, i realized i have some Easter egg dies that probably haven;t been used in a while!!! (at least a year, lol!)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

So i grabbed the egg die and cut it from different spring pattern papers. Next i stamped various funny faces from The Alley Way Stamps Face It stamp set. The face with big teeth, i colored the teeth with an opaque white pen.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i used the TAWS stamp set Spell Check. I used the Hi, Hello and heart speech bubbles. I inked these up with pigment ink that matched my pattern papers. Then i trimmed some pattern paper and die cut a long label shape from white card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I adhered the pattern paper and label shape to my card base. Then i added my eggs and speech bubbles with foam dots.

Have a great day!!

Garden Flowers

Hello!!

Today i'm sharing a card i made for the Curtian Call Inspiration Challenge - Farm Fresh challenge. I pulled out my October Afternoon: Farm Girl collection for inspiration, mainly because it is a farm inspired pack and i really have no other farm like stamps as i don't really care for that kind of style. This collection has some really nice farm images and such, but not surprisingly i'm was drawn to the pretty flower pattern that is included in the collection.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
I'm also using some new product i purchased a little bit ago. Now if you follow my blog long enough you might realize that i made a new years resolution not to buy any more crafty supplies..... well that lasted about 3 months!!! However, i just stopped by Michael's and Joann's and didn;t really feel any need to add to my crafty supplies, i am realizing that i would rather purchase supplies from various companies online, supplies that you just can't get at the big 3 (don't forget Hobby Lobby!!) And really i just don't need the $1 pearls in the discount section, no matter how many colors they come in!! lol

Ok so on to my card, oh and the new purchase i made are these tiny flower die cuts from A Muse Studio! I LOVE them! You will be seeing them a lot! I love they size: Tiny, but oh so perfect for cards!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

To start i trimmed the flower pattern paper to match my Kraft card base, then punched a border along the bottom. I also added a touch of distress ink along the edge. Next i used a journal card from the Farm Girl collection that said Garden on it, kind of like a flash card looking card. I added a pink word element to the journal card with a tiny paper clip.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i die cut several tiny flowers from different pattern papers in the collection. I also die cut some flowers from tea stained canvas that i have laying around. I adhered the flowers to the journal card, some with foam dots. Then i added the journal card to my card base with foam dots and last stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment at the bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blue Bird Hello

Hey!!

Today i am sharing a nice springy card with a lovely blue bird! I've started to see birds around here so spring must be on the way! Birds would know wouldn't they? lol

I am entering this in Moxie Fab's Styling with Stencils Challenge.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I used a technique i learn at the Online Stencil Card Class, i forget what its called but basically you draw lines in the stencil shape. For my card i used the fine tip end of my distress markers and filled in each part of the stencil with several colors. For example with the bird i started with a light blue, making long lines (vertical lines, top to bottom). Then i went in with a darker blue, added my lines from about middle down. Next i used my darkest blue and added lines starting near the bottom of the bird. Last i went back with my light blue and added more lines to help blend. I also added a few darker lines above the main line to help blend a bit. (hopefully this all makes sense!!)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I continued to do this for the leaves and the branches. I went in with a find tip black marker and gave the bird a eye. Next i stamped the sentiment Hello in black ink. Last i trimmed the panel a little and added a blue strip at the right and adhered it all to my card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I'll be back each day this coming week, I've been on a roll in the card making department!! Its like the total opposite of having no Mojo and is a great feeling, so I've been taking advantage of it!!! LOL It also dosen;t hurt that i have been playing with new TAWs stamp, stay tuned this weekend for the start of the sneak peeks!!!

Re-Be Inspired Challenge #50

Hey There!

Just posting a card The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge #50! You still have a week to play along for your chance to win a TAWS stamp set. This is the inspiration picture:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I love the green bike in the photo, so because i want think spring i pulled out TAWS stamp set Flower Doodles to play with.  I stamped the flowers in green ink. Then to also match the photo i colored some parts of the flower with grey, however its really hard to see the grey, and when i saw this i realized i should have used a darker grey.... but its already i like it anyway!! :)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i stamped the sentiment Love You Lots. I also pulled out 3 wood veneer hearts. I used green copic markers to color them. First coloring them with the lighter green, then with a darker green just adding ink at the edges. The color bleeds in towards the middle of the hearts giving it an interesting look (or at least i think its an interesting look! hehehe!)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I added the hearts to two of the flowers and the O of the love. I hope you will submit a TAWS card!! I can;t wait to see your creations!!

Thanks for stopping by!
