Winnie & Walter Watercoloring With Zig Ganasai Tambi

Hi there!

Today, I have a card I made for Winnie & Walter April Color Combo Challenge. I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter

I started with Simon Says Stamp Big Bloom a Winnie & Walter Exclusive, stamping the flower several times on watercolor cardstock. I overlapped the flowers a little bit here and there.

Next, I used my Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors, coloring a light color, then while it was still wet in with a darker color at the center and let it spread out. I did this with a water brush.

While the flowers were drying I cut a piece of watercolor cards stock and stamped the Grateful from the W&W's Big, Bold, Blessings set. I also stamped For You below the grateful.

I trimmed the panel and added it to the flower panel with foam tape. Last I added a few sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great day!!

Watercoloring with Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi Set

Hello!

The other day I need a distraction from some DT work so I decided to make some cards for a few challenges. One I totally missed the cutoff, so one day I'll share that card. To make sure I get the other two in time I'm posting them today and tomorrow!! They are both done with the Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors! I've been in the watercolor mood lately!!

But, anyway I am entering this card in Power Poppy Power & Spark Challenge - Sketch and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes. I went with Power Poppy's Sketch 1:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Catherine Scanlan
Instead of the notched banner, I went kind of an opposite notched banner or a banner that would fit in the notched banner. Anyway, it's what I found when I went through dies and figured it was close enough! I used the biggest die and the tiniest die to cut out some watercolor card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Catherine Scanlan

Next, I stamped Catherine Scanlon - Arrangement by Art Gone Wild in brown ink. I've had this stamp for awhile and it finally has seen some ink!! Then I pulled out my Zig Kuretake watercolors and went to town color it.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Catherine Scanlan

While the panel dried I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Sketchy Banner Greetings (no longer available) on the tiny banner. I found some great pattern paper from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away pad and added it to a white card base.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Catherine Scanlan
Last I added my colored panel with foam tape and then added the sentiment on top similar to the sketch. Oh and I rounded the corners.

Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back with another watercolor card tomorrow!!

If you are a fan of interactive cards, this might be up your ally! My card features the Circle Centre die and the pre-cut cardstock that comes in the bundle! The cardstock is thick and that's the key with this die, the thicker, heavier weight the better! These dies also come with great instruction on how to use them, there are a lot of different options with the dies and the instructions cover them all!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

For this card, I used the sold pieces to cut the polka dot pattern paper, from dark blue cardstock I cut the sentiment From Me To You. With adhesive tape, I adhered the matt pieces along with the circle sentiment.

I got the pattern paper from Sara Davies Signature Collection - Birthday Party and it has some great matching punch outs. I added a present and hat to the card with foam tape. I added the banner punch outs after adhering some twine to make a banner.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

When you open the card you can see the back circle panel and I added Birthday Wishes punch out to that. You can really make this card as easy or as complicated as you want!!

Baseball is Like .....

Hello!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog with a card featuring one of the new AI People! The Baseball Set is perfect for a baseball lover who is on the mend!! And it dosesn't have to be a guy either! When with a nice pink baseball uniform the player!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
I started by stamping the baseball image and using my Spectrum Noir Markers to color her. I used: CR4, CR6, DR6, EB1, EB2, EB6, EB5, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG10 and the Blender. When I am coloring white I use a little bit of the light grays and the blender to blend them out to the white of the cardstock.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

For a background, I found some patterned black and gray paper from Doodlebug and adhered it to a white card base. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white card stock and adhered that across the card.

After fussy cutting the image, I added it with foam tape and last added a few pink and gray enamel dots!

Art Impressions Challenge #206 - Make it Mini!

Hello!!

Well, I goofed up! Totally didn't think that today was Thursday and that I had plenty of time to work on my AI Challenge post! Wrong!! LOL!! I'm sorry if you stopped by and found very empty post! Let's try this again!!

It's the second week of AI Challenge #206 - Make It Mini! And it's to help celebrate the 5 New Mini Tryfolds!! And they are adorable!! My card today features the Everything Wonderful set!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

To start I stamped the three images on white card base and used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers to color them. I used: AB1, AB3, AP1, AP3, BG2, BG6, EB7, GB2, BG4, BG7, BG9, LG3, LG4, IG2, IG6. Then I used sharp scissors to fussy cut them out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Next I picked out some pattern papers and planned which ones I would use for each image. In the end I used some pattern paper for the first two images. To make things easier I first used the little dies that come with the set to cut out the openings for the first two images.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Then I added the pattern paper to the card base, all the Tryfolds come with instructions and followed them to create my cardbase. Then starting with the first and largest image I adhered it to the front of the card. Then with the die cut out the inside oft he present. I did the same thing for the second image on the next flap. For the 3rd image I added the cup cake and stamped the sentiment below it.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you will play along with us and make your own Mini creation!!

Find Me Irresistible

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a card featuring one of the new AI People stamps, Irresistible Set. These new AI People are so funny!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
I stamped the image on white card stock and used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color it. if you happen to use SN Markers too, I would suggest using Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Cardstock, it really works the best with SN Markers! The colors I used are as follows: CR4, CR6, CR10, EB5, EB6, FS4, FS6, FS9, GB1, GB4, GT2, GT3, IG2, IG4, IG6, PP5, TB1, Blender. After coloring I fussy cut the image out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Next, I picked out some fancy pattern paper that I thought would look kind of like wallpaper and added the yellow pattern to a white card base. To break up all that yellow I added the pattern paper strips across the card.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
Then I stamped the sentiment and trimmed it down to a rectangle. I added the sentiment and image to the card with foam tape.  With the busy pattern paper, I decided not to add enamel dots or sequins! A little hard for me to do!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

More Cards with Art Impressions & Therm-o-web

Hello !

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with two cards featuring not only AI stamps but Therm-O-Web foils! I had wanted to get these cards completed in addition to last weeks card but I thought it would take me longer to complete them.

So, in our little Therm-O-Web package I received some liquid Mixed Media Adhesive, not your traditional foil adhesvie but I really wanted to use it so I did a little test and it worked!

For my card below I placed My Favorite Things Scattered Bars Stencil over a white panel. Then with the adhesive I drew lines along each of the chevron bars. I didn't fill each bar with the adesive, just used them as a guide to draw a line. Since this worked well, in the future I want to see what would happen if I did fill the bars or the areas open in a stencil.  But anyway, after doing the lines I lifted the stencil and let the panel dry. Beacuse I used glue I immediatly washed the stencil.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

While the adhesive was drying I stamped the Twins stamp and used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color her. I used: EB1, EB2, EB6, EB5, FS3, FS6, FS9, HB2, HB3, LV2. Then I fussy cut her out. On a black strip of card stock I stamped and white embossed the Thinking of You from the WC Sentiments set.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

When my glue was dry, for me it was the next day. I placed some Amethyst Watercolor Deco Foil over the panel. With an embossing tool (it basically has a small metal ball at the end) I rubbed the foil over the raised glue lines. The foil transfered niceley, but I new that it would take me forever to rub all these lines! So, I ended up setting it aside to work on other projects.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Later, when I went back to it and I was rubbing away and I happened to spot my die cutting machine and the light bulb went off!! I ran the pane with the foil through my machine, just like I was die cutting something but with the die. And it WORKED!!! It didn;t even really flatten the glue, but the foil stuck and I just peeled off the foil!! Now that I know it will not take forever to rub the foil I'm deffiently doing this again!!

I had the left over foil and thought it was a still cool pattern so I made another card with it! I just used the Easy Cut Adhesive sheet to add the foil to one side of the sheet and then peeling off the second release paper added it to a white card base! Easy peasy!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I pulled out my Birthday Woot stamp set, stamped it on white card stock and colored it with my Spectrum Noir Markers. i used: EB1, EB2, EB5, EB6, HB2, HB3, LG3, LG5, OR2, OR3. With sharp scissors I fussy cut her out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

On a strip of white card stock I stamped the sentiment and added it and the owl with foam tape. Last I added a few green pearls to the background.

Art Impressions Challenge #205 - Wish You Felt Better

Hello!

It's the second week of Art Impressions Wish You Felt Better Challenge #205. The Challenge is simple, just use felt on your project!! AI is also releasing some NEW AI People stamps, perfect for someone on the mend!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
My card features the Baseball set! And nothing better then a felt baseball for my card!! I just used a circle die to cut some white felt and then used some red floss to stitch baseball like stitching.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

I stamped the Baseball lady on white card stock and used my Spectrum Noir markers to color her. I used: CR7, CR11, FS3, FS3, GB1, GB2, GB7, GB9, IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG10, True Black. Then I used some sharp scissors and fussy cut her out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

For a background I found a nice black and white strip pattern paper and adhered it to a white card base. I stamped the sentiment on a white strip and added it to the card. With liquid glue I applied the felt baseball and then added the fussy cut baseball lady!

Art Impressions & Therm-O-Web

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today here with some Easter inspiration using some awesome Therm-O-Web products!! My card features this year's new Easter Blessings stamp set, Amethyst Watercolor Deco Foil, iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive Sheet and 3D White Foam Sticky Strips.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art impressions & Thermoweb
I started with the Easy Cut Adhesive Sheet and the Deco Foil. I already had a die picked out and cut the Adhesive Sheet a little bit bigger than the die, then peeling off one side of the release paper. Then I added the Deco Foil, silver side down and ran it through my die cutting machine.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art impressions & Thermoweb

I set aside the die cut and stamped the cute little bunny with the tulip on some white cardstock. With my Spectrum Noir Markers, I colored him (or her) up! I used CG3, CR5, CR6, DG2, EB1, EB2, FS6, GB8, HB1, HB2, HB3, IG2, LG3, LG5, LV3, PL1, PL2.

Next, I stamped the Easter Blessings sentiment and then trimmed the panel to a strip and fussy cutting out the top part of the bunny and flower.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art impressions & Thermoweb
When I played with the layout of the die cut on a card base there was too much extra space, so I trimmed down the card base. The card roughly measures 4.25 x 4 inches. To apply the die cut I just removed the second release paper and added it to the card, jus love the metallic shine! With the 3D Foam Strips, I added the bunny and sentiment strip along the bottom.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure you have entered and checked out the Therm-O-Web's blog for more inspiration!!
